Their weary faces flicker across our news feeds – and are gone. But their struggles continue relentlessly. They are growing up in the worst places to be a child.
Some were born in refugee camps. Others spent months walking to reach one. They relive yesterday’s nightmares – bombs, screams and gunfire – while tomorrow’s dreams gasp for breath.
Through Raw Hope, Canadians can help care for, protect and restore children the world has all but forgotten.

Raw Hope helps start the healing
Raw Hope helps start the healing
Raw Hope works to help vulnerable children and families in unstable regions. We provide essentials like food, water, shelter, medicine as well as safe places for children to play, learn and receive counselling.
Raw Hope works in countries like Iraq, Syria, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. Our response to the Rohingya crisis spans both Myanmar and Bangladesh.
World Vision brings decades of experience working in places facing conflict, as well as social and economic turmoil. We respond in partnership with other agencies on the ground, to meet children’s needs as quickly and effectively as possible.
We’re on hand to help child survivors heal from the unthinkable. Raw Hope helps prevent the abuse of children that is so common in unstable regions and offers care to survivors of such tragedies. We work closely with governments, championing long-term solutions to conflict and instability.
We combine your Raw Hope pledge with those of other Canadians. We leverage those funds by securing government grants which allow us to help even more families. We partner with other aid agencies to maximize our impact in responding to children in crisis.
Raw Hope regions are, by their very nature, too unstable and unpredictable for long-term sponsorship programs. Families move frequently as they escape danger and look for safety. Raw Hope is the very best way to respond in these contexts.
As a Raw Hope partner, you’ll receive sharable stories and updates from the projects you are supporting. We’ll show you the life-changing impact you’re having on some of the world’s most vulnerable children and families.
